Private graveside services for Healdton resident Terry Dwain “Tooter” Carson will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Alma Cemetery will Bill Baker officiating.  Tooter was born, Tuesday, December 16, 1947 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Julius Ray “J. Ray” and Sigma Bernice McCullon Carson and died Sunday, May 3, 2020, in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 17 days.

Tooter was raised in Healdton and graduated from Healdton High School with the Class of 1966.  He enjoyed bowling and at one point in time had aspirations of being a professional bowler.  He worked in the oilfield for a time during his life.  Tooter was a free spirit and did things his way!  He had an entrepreneurial air about him and always had his hands into something.

Tooter was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Ray Carson.  He is survived by his wife, Paula Jones Carson of Kerrville, Texas; daughter, Taylor Carson Sandvick and her husband Erik of Rowayton, Connecticut; grandchildren, Blaire, Hutchinson and Townsend; Sisters, Susan Fancher of Wichita Falls, Texas, Kelly Jo Watts of Lawton, Oklahoma; brothers Randy Lee Carson of Healdton, Oklahoma and Denton Garrison of Hodgen, Oklahoma.
