Lindsey Michael Briscoe

Lindsey Michael Briscoe was born, Friday, April 28, 1967 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and was brought home to Dewey Edgar and Veneta Lindsey Briscoe and he passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in Healdton, Oklahoma at the age of 54 years, 7 months and 17 days. 

Lindsey was a graduate of Healdton High School, Class of 1985 and was currently employed by the Healdton Public Schools. Lindsey married Regina Norton in Healdton, Oklahoma on November 5, 1988. Lindsey began performing at an early age entertaining guests at his family’s home and this formed a lifelong desire to perform and play music.  Lindsey was a member of many bands over the years and most recently had the opportunity to perform with Johnny Lee and the Urban Cowboy Band. His life of music has allowed him make many, lifelong, friends in the music world.  Lindsey had a sincere desire to help and improve the City of Healdton.  He worked for the city for a while and was elected to the City Council in April of 2017 and was currently serving the City of Healdton as Mayor.  

Lindsey is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Edgar and Veneta (Lindsey) Briscoe; Father and Mother-in-law, Lyndon and Nadine (Elliott) Norton; brother-in-law, Lyndon Norton, Jr. and a sister, Tara Patterson.  He is survived by his wife Regina of the home in Healdton; son, Wesley Keith Briscoe of the home in Healdton; daughter, Rayleen Pfeiffer of Pleasanton, Texas and a granddaughter on the way; brother, Dewey L. Briscoe and his wife Cheri of Healdton, Oklahoma; Sister-in-law, Ruby Rich of Ardmore, Oklahoma; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, church family, his musician family and colleagues and friends.  He treasured all of his friendships at work, community, the State and beyond.  Lindsey is also survived by his birth family including his mother, Tela Patterson, father, George Colbert and his wife Patty, brothers, Michael Patterson, Jeff Colbert, Georgie and sisters, Amy, Kimberly, Lori and Susan.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the East Lincoln Church of Christ, 1229 East Lincoln Avenue, Healdton, Oklahoma 73438 and the funeral service will be held at the church at 2:00 pm Monday, December 20, 2021 with Brother Carl Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at the Dixie Cemetery near Loco, Oklahoma with Tracy Briscoe, Micheal Briscoe, Mike Schofield, Johnny Burkhalter, Jeffery Rich and Larry Covey serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be John Clinesmith and Larry Munholland.
