Karen Deeann Huckaby

Funeral Services for Karen Deeann Huckaby will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 11, 2020 in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Duck officiating. Burial will follow in the Cheek Cemetery near Lone Grove with assistance from Cole Stuedeman, Clay Stuedeman, Allen Huckaby, Trevor McCarten, Brent Bean and Kidder Hill serving as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends Friday evening, January 10, 2020, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Laurel Funeral Home, 665 Fifth Street, Healdton, Oklahoma.  Service arrangements are under the direction of Laurel Funeral Home.

Karen was born, Thursday, April 22, 1971 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to David and Lou Huckaby and passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020 at her home in Ardmore at the age of 48 years, 8 months and 14 days. 

After overcoming many personal tragedies and health issues, Karen was at peace and content the past year.  She had dedicated her life to the Lord as a young person and in recent months had rededicated her life to Christ.  She was kind and loving, especially to her precious pets. She treated her dogs as her little babies and they were always at her side.  She and Lou had enjoyed spending time together shopping and running errands.  Please especially keep Lou in your prayers as she will miss those frequent visits with Karen.

Karen is survived by her parents, David and Lou Huckaby; daughter, Elena (Julie) McCarten and her husband Trevor of Renton, Washington; brother, Allen Huckaby and his son Layne of Tennessee; aunt, Judy Stuedeman of Fort Worth, Texas; brother-in-law, Meril Emerson and his wife Brenda of Wilson, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Shirley Teel and her husband Mark of Healdton, Oklahoma; special friend, father of her daughter, Tom Emerson of Wilson, Oklahoma; special friends, John, Jackie, Tina and Shelly.
