David Scott Jenkins

David Scott Jenkins of Checotah, Oklahoma was born, Thursday, November 22, 1962 in Prague, Oklahoma to Billy Clay and Peggy Darlene Fulkerson Jenkins and died Friday, September 24, 2021 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 58.

David was a 1981 graduate of Healdton High School.  He married his high school sweetheart since the age of 15 and the love of his life Sandy Blankenship on June 11, 1983 in Healdton, Oklahoma and enjoyed 38 years of marriage.  He was a Farm Bureau Insurance Agent for many years. He loved to travel and especially eat! He was late to everything he attended his entire life including his own wedding!!  His most endearing trait was the fact that he loved his children and grandchildren fiercely.

David is survived by wife, Sandy Jenkins of the home; sons, Garrett Jenkins and his wife Jaysa of Wilson, Oklahoma, Connor Jenkins of Checotah, Oklahoma; daughters, Meagan Jenkins of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Kelsey Bates and her husband Cody of Wilson, Oklahoma, Rilee Jenkins of Healdton, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Saige Jenkins, Eli Bates, Walker Bates; mother-in-law, Norma Blankenship of Healdton, Oklahoma; parents, Billy and Peggy Jenkins of Texas and sister, Angelia Kelli Tuggle and her husband Cliff of Portland, Texas.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the Assembly of God Church with Brother John Harris officiating.  Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Wingo, Kenny Baker, David Ellis, Steve Love, Delbert Norton and his brothers in heart Donnie Blankenship and John Johnson.
