Charles Robert "Chuck" Cleary

Memorial Graveside Services and inurnment for, former Healdton resident, Charles Robert “Chuck” Cleary of Wylie, Texas will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Healdton, Oklahoma.

Chuck was born, Sunday, May 9, 1954 to Joe Kelly and Ida Francis (Stillman) Cleary and died Sunday, July 5, 2020 in Wylie, Texas at the age of 66 years, 1 month and 26 days.

Chuck was a 1972 graduate of Healdton High School in Healdton, Oklahoma.  After high school he proudly enlisted with the United States Air Force on June 6, 1972, where he served in the Joint Special Operations Command.  He retired in 1992 from the Air Force Logistics Command, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The 20 years he spent in the military represented his fervent patriotism and willingness to bleed red, white and blue.  Chuck met and married Sheila Joan Harris in Norman, Oklahoma and they were married for 24 years. It was through this marriage that Chuck received his greatest gift in life, the apple of his eye – his son Robert. He loved going to the gun range, hanging out by the pool and squeezing in a round of golf whenever he could.  Chuck was known for his outgoing and care-free personality and it was because of his infectious energy that family, friends and co-workers grew to love him.  Throughout his lifetime Chuck left an unforgettable trace of gut-wrenching comedy and he is graciously remembered for his honesty that knew no limits.  His generosity was often presented when those he cared for and loved were in need – and he would make any sacrifice necessary to take care of them. Chuck was a great man who will not soon be forgotten as his legacy carries on through his family, friends and countless others whose hearts he touched during his lifetime.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Sheila J. Cleary of Wylie, Texas; son, Robert Joe Cleary of Wylie, Texas; brothers, Kelly Gene Cleary, Jerry Dean Cleary; sisters, Barbara Jo Herr of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Lola Lauree Noom of Fritch, Texas, Melissa Ellen Dotson; grandparents, Guy Cecil Ragsdale, Lola Ragsdale and Gertrude Cleary.
